A medical report allayed the fears of rape of an intellectually disabled girl who was found with injuries on her private parts in a distressed state in Alwar district, police said on Friday. He said the latest findings also revealed that the 14-year-old girl had traveled from her village to the city on her own. Gehlot tweeted on Friday, “There should not be uncontrolled statements by political parties in this matter. Police should be allowed to complete investigation independently and expeditiously. It is appropriate to comment only after the investigation is over.”

He said that a separate team headed by DIG level officer has been sent for investigation to assist Alwar SP.

As of now, the facts and technical know-how of the medical experts shows that There is no possibility. Rape in the case,” Alwar SP Tejaswani Gautam told reporters.

The SP said that the police are yet to find out how the girl received such serious injuries. Gautam told reporters that the girl traveled about 25 km from her village and reached Alwar city in an auto-rickshaw. She then walked “on her own” towards the Tijara Gate Bridge.

“We have been able to track the movements of the girl and have traced the auto-rickshaw in which she traveled along with 8-10 other passengers. A team of forensic experts has not found anything suspicious in the auto-rickshaw. The driver was questioned and his co-travellers will be interrogated,” the SP said. Police said CCTV footage collected from various places showed him walking in several areas of the city and on the bridge, but none of the cameras showed him in a dilapidated position on the bridge.

Official sources said that the Chief Minister was constantly monitoring the matter. “The Inspector General of Jaipur, Jaipur, visited Alwar on Wednesday and issued necessary instructions to the district police.
