Ram Charan and Upasana are all set to welcome a baby boy this year. The couple recently hosted a baby shower in Hyderabad ahead of the baby’s arrival. It was an intimate affair with close friends and family in attendance. Allu Arjun, Kanika Kapoor, Tennis champion Sania Mirza were some of the guests who marked their presence. Many pictures of his party are now going viral on social media.
Upasana shared a bundle of happy moments from the night and also penned a heartfelt note which read, “So grateful for all the love. “Thank you Sushmita Konidela @sreejakonidela, @smireddy_14 and @sarin_katta for such lovely baby showers for us. Our baby boy is truly blessed ❤️.”
Earlier this month, Upasana shared glimpses of the baby shower hosted by her sisters Anushpala Kamineni and Sindoori Reddy in Dubai. In the video, Upasana and Ram can be seen twinning in white – an ancient color palette – for the dreamy baby shower. While Upasana flaunted her pregnancy glow in a white, lace gown, the RRR star kept it classy in a crisp white shirt. Glimpses of the three-tiered cake and lots of gifts were also shared in the video.
Upasana had earlier spoken openly about how she didn’t let societal norms pressure or pressure her to have a child early in her marriage. The couple announced their pregnancy after 10 years of their marriage.
In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Upasana said, “I am very excited and also very proud that I decided to become a mother when we wanted to and not when society wanted. So, ten years of our marriage After all, we have now decided to have a child and I think this is the best time as we both are flourishing, we are both financially secure and we can take care of our children on our own.
He further said, ‘It was our mutual decision. As a couple, we did not allow pressure to come down on us, be it from outside society, from our family or from outsiders. Which says a lot about our relationship and how we are going to raise our child.
Ram Charan and Upasana announced their pregnancy on December 12, 2022. Announcing the same on social media, the couple wrote, “With the blessings of Shri Hanuman ji, we are happy to share that Upasana and Ram Charan are expecting their first child. With love and gratitude, Surekh and Chiranjeevi Konidela, Shobhana and Anil Kamineni.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR. The song Natu Natu from the film won the Oscar this year. Currently, the actor is busy with his 15th film, which is being directed by S Shankar and is tentatively titled Game Changer. The film stars Kiara Advani as the leading lady.
