All 32 students of RailTel’s CSR project ‘Akanksha Super-30’ pass out in Dehradun jee mains 2023Rail PSUs on Friday said that they have been brought closer to securing admission in premier institutes like IITs, NITs and other government engineering colleges.

RailTel established Super-30 Center in Dehradun in 2015 in association with Center for Social Responsibility and Leadership (CSRL), New Delhi.

It provides free coaching, lodging and boarding for 11 months to around 30 underprivileged but talented students from Uttarakhand to prepare them for the entrance examinations of prestigious engineering colleges.

The 30 students shortlisted for dedicated coaching are selected on the basis of an examination which tests their knowledge, mental ability and career aspirations. This year, two additional students were taken. Thus, a total of 32 students were trained during the year 2022-2023.

Expressing happiness over the result, RailTel CMD Sanjay Kumar said, “The performance of the center has been exceptional as 194 students out of 207 have taken admission in IITs, NITs or other engineering colleges. It is the hard work of the students which is helping them to make a successful career. We are happy to play a small role in mentoring these talented kids in their journey to become engineers. There are also other CSR initiatives in different sectors at different places in the country.”
