PlayStation Showcase 2023 ran for more than 70 minutes and featured new announcements, like the revival of Marathon by Bungie, gameplay footage from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and hardware reveals like a handheld remote play device called Project Q.
Sony’s PlayStation Showcase, which took place after a period of nearly 600 days, has finally come to an end, running over an hour and ten minutes – featuring new announcements, a marathon revival by Bungie, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gameplay, and even hardware announcements include a new handheld remote play device called Project Q, and new PlayStation Wireless Earbuds for PS5 and PC.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gameplay
We finally got our first look at Insomniac Games’ Marvel Spider-Man 2 gameplay, and Sony did justice by showing off over 10 minutes of action-packed action sequences featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. We also got a look at Spider-Man’s Venom-powered powers and got our first look at Kraven the Hunter.
The gameplay concludes with both Peter and Miles chasing after the Lizard in a high-speed chase. Plus, we got a glimpse of Peter Parker’s symbiote-induced aggression, foreshadowing a fight between Peter and Miles. There’s still no release date, but Sony says the game will launch in Fall 2023.

Just like we and other industry experts predicted, Sony finally surprised everyone with a CGI teaser for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which is likely going to be a remake of the classic PlayStation 2 title, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. New hardware: PlayStation Project Q and new wireless earbuds
The gaming community was buzzing about Sony releasing a new handheld system, and in a way, the rumors turned out to be true as Sony unveiled Project Q—an 8-inch handheld Remote Play device for the PS5 that works over the Wii. Has Hi-Fi and lets users stream installed games in 1080P at up to 60fps. Known internally as ‘Project Q’ (may not be a retail name), it will retain all the original features of the Sony DualSense controller, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
Additionally, Sony also unveiled PlayStation-branded wireless earbuds for PS5 and PC – which allow for lossless audio. The exact availability of these products is not known, but they are expected to be released later this year.
