Investigators are trying to get to the roots of the fake vaccine by interrogating the detainees. After this, the Kolkata Police will add a section of attempt to murder under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code against Debanjan Dev, who was arrested in the case. According to sources, the chargesheet of the incident will be presented by Kolkata Police in a few days.

It is noteworthy that a case has been registered against fake IAS Devanjan Deb, the main accused in the Kasba fake vaccination case, under several sections including fraud and conspiracy. According to sources, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up at Lalbazar will probably file the chargesheet in the court within next week after adding the section on attempt to murder.

The first town bogus vaccine was released on 22 June. It is learned that the coroner’s vaccination camp was being run without permission in the town. Kolkata Police has arrested a total of nine people including fake IAS Debanjan Dev in a fake vaccine case. Apart from Debanjan, four others are currently in police custody. The rest are in the correction center as ordered by the court.

Later in the investigation, sensational allegations came out one after the other. After that a seat was constituted by Lalbazar for the progress of the investigation. A total of four PILs were filed in the Calcutta High Court regarding the vaccine issue. The court dismissed one case. The other three cases were filed by BJP leaders Tarun Jyoti Tiwari, Tapas Maiti and advocate Sandipan Das. The BJP also demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident. Though the Calcutta High Court had directed on July 9, there is no need for a CBI probe into the fake vaccine case now.
