Alia Bhatt expresses her love for mother nature
Alia Bhatt celebrates Earth Day with her fans. The actress will soon be seen in Jigra with Vedang Raina.
Apart from being a stellar actor, Alia Bhatt is also a strong advocate of a clean and green environment. On Earth Day, the actress took to her social media handle to share a happy video of herself expressing her love for Mother Nature. She also added a little note with the video that read, “There is only one Earth, that gives us plenty of reasons to be full of mirth with its beauty; we feel blessed in its care, and forever we find rest #HappyEarthDay.”
Alia looked the prettiest in a free flowing multicoloured frock. With her wavy locks, playing the breeze, she was a complete vision to behold. She also donned on of her brightest smiles as she took a stroll by the bay.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt has come a long way in showbiz. She will soon be seen in her upcoming movie, Jigra. While its shooting is already complete, it has now been revealed that the actress had to learn basketball for the film. As reported by E-Times, Alia Bhatt has several scenes in Jigra in which she will be seen playing basketball, and therefore, to make it look authentic, director Vasan Bala assigned a coach to her.
Reportedly, Alia underwent extensive basketball training for the film. A coach on the sets was assigned who not only taught her the rules of the game but also basic movements like dribble and double dribble. Besides this, Alia also learned how to pass and how to dunk the ball into the basket.
Besides Alia, Jigra will also star in The Archies with Vedang Raina. He will be playing the role of Alia’s brother in the movie. It should also be noted that Alia Bhatt is not just playing the lead in Jigra but is also producing it. Previously, in an interview with Film Companion, the actress opened up about venturing into production and shared that it is ‘exciting and overwhelming’ at the same time.
“I believe stories are everywhere, and stories are everything! I turned producer with Eternal Sunshine to tell some of these stories, ones that evoke emotions and leave an impact. Our first production, Darlings, got so much love that it was exciting and overwhelming at the same time,” she said.
Besides Jigra, Alia will soon also be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. She will also be headlining YRF’s Spy Universe movie. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ in her pipeline with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
