Alia Bhatt participated in her first Gucci event as the brand ambassador of India. For the global event, Alia wore a black mini dress with a polka-dotted cutout, teamed with black sky-high heels and carried a transparent Gucci Jackie 1961 bag. She kept her accessories minimal to let the ensemble take center stage. Her hair was neatly tied in a ponytail, which drew attention to her eyes.
Now, on her Instagram, Alia shared a series of pictures from the event and in one picture she is chowing down on a big slice of pizza in a car. Looks like the actress had a lot of fun on her first outing as the global ambassador of the luxury brand. Sharing pictures from the event, Alia wrote in the caption, “yes the bag was empty”, referring to the trolling she received for the transparent bag.
Alia was seen carrying a transparent handbag at the event. Eagle-eyed social media users noticed that the bag contained nothing. The luxurious but empty bag confused many. Many people took to the comment section of Vogue India’s post featuring Alia’s look and asked Alia why she would carry an empty purse. One user said, “That purse is empty.” Another asked, “If the bag is empty then why is Alia carrying it.”
Alia Bhatt was seated next to K-pop singer IU, also known as Lee Ji-un. Along with Alia and IU, several South Korean stars graced the show. Star-studded lineup includes Lee Jung-jae from “Squid Game,” Woo Doo Hwan, Jung Kyung Ho, Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Jae Hoon, The Boys members Younghoon and JuYen, Espa Winter, ITZY Ryujin, Ivy’s Leeseo, Shin Hyun were involved. Bean, Bibi, Lee Yeon Hee, Jeans Hanni, Kim Hee Soo, and Lim Ji Yeon. The event, held at the city’s Gyeongbokgung Palace, celebrated Gucci’s 25th anniversary in the country.
