Ali Fazal nominated for ‘Ray’ at Asia Content Awards by Busan Film Festival

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ali Fazal has received a nomination in the Best Actor category at the Asia Content Awards by Busan International Film Festival.

Ali has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his portrayal of Ispit Nair in the segment ‘Forget Me Not’ in the ‘Ray’ anthology on Netflix.

On the nomination, Ali said: “Wow! That was completely unexpected. I am so humbled to have received this nomination and it means a lot to be recognized by the ACA. Produced great content in Asia this year It was an honor to be among such an impressive lineup of films and actors to receive the nominations.”

Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the story is a modern interpretation of Satyajit Ray’s story ‘Bipin Choudhary Ka Smriti Bhram’. Ali plays a mutilated corporate shark who never forgets anything and has a computer memory.

The Third Asian Content Awards (ACA) is run by the Asian Content and Film Market (ACFM) of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). ACA aims to showcase excellent TV, OTT and online content from Asia.

This year, ACA was dominated by Korean dramas and Netflix originals.
