Akshay Kumar to return to London to resume shooting for Ranjit Tiwari’s next film after mother’s death

Akshay Kumar, who was busy shooting for his film in the UK, was back in the country after his mother Aruna Bhatia was hospitalized on 6 September.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar The actress, who was busy shooting for her film in the UK, had returned to the country after her mother Aruna Bhatia was admitted to a city hospital on 6 September. Unfortunately, he passed away two days later, on 8 September. Now, reports suggest that the actor will be going back to London on September 10 to shoot for his next film directed by Ranjit Tiwari. The film is reportedly a psychological thriller backed by Jackky Bhagnani.

As per a source quoted by Pinkvilla, “Akshay is a thorough professional and believes in the adage that the show must go on. He also understands the gravity of the financial scenario when film shoots are put on hold, especially in tough times like the ongoing pandemic, as over 100 people join the production team and crew. He was with his mother in his last days, performed all the rituals in the last few days and is now ready to resume work. He will leave for the UK tomorrow morning and resume shooting after following the quarantine guidelines of the local authorities.”

Reports also suggest that the film is an official adaptation of the 2018 Tamil film Ratanasan and stars Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role.

Akshay has a busy schedule on the professional front. He will be shooting for Raksha Bandhan, Bhumi Pednekar, Oh My God 2 and co-starring Ram Setu. He was last seen in the spy thriller Bell Bottom and will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi.
