Akshay Kumar also recalled how he got his Canadian passport and revealed that all this happened after he had given more than 15 flops at the box office.
Akshay Kumar is often trolled for his Canadian passport. However, it looks like all the trolling regarding his passport will end soon. The actor has made a big disclosure that he has applied for a change in passport.
In a recent interview, Akshay shared how ‘India is everything to him’. He also admitted that he ‘feels bad’ when netizens make fun of him for his Canadian passport. “India is everything to me. Whatever I have earned, whatever I have got, is from here. And I’m lucky to have the opportunity to give back. You feel bad when people say something without knowing anything,” the actor told Aaj Tak.
The 55-year-old actor also recalled how he got his Canadian passport and revealed that all this happened after he had delivered more than 15 flops at the box office. “I thought ‘bro, my films are not working and one has to work’. I went there for work. My friend was in Canada and he said, ‘come here’. I applied and I got in came. “I had only two films left to release and it was just luck that they both became superhits. My friend said, ‘Go back, start working again’. I got a few more films And I kept getting more work,” Akshay said.
“I forgot that I had a passport. I never thought that I should get this passport replaced, but now yes, I have applied to replace my passport.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar Gearing up for the release of his film Selfie, which also stars Emraan Hashmi, Nushrat Bharucha and Diana Penty in lead roles. The comedy-drama is helmed by Raj Mehta and is a remake of the 2019 released Malayalam film Driving License starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Selfie will hit the theaters tomorrow i.e. 24th February.
Apart from this, Akshay has also started shooting for Hera Pheri 3 with Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty. He also has Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in his pipeline.
