Akasa Air on Tuesday mentioned it is going to begin working flights on the Bengaluru-Mumbai route from August 19. The brand new provider will launch business flight operations on August 7 by operating its first service on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route. On August 13, the airline will begin operations on the Bengaluru-Kochi route.
“With this, Akasa Air could have accomplished the inaugural section of its community improvement throughout key cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kochi and Bengaluru, making a complete of 82 weekly flights out there inside the first few weeks of its operations,” the airline mentioned in an announcement.
Whereas the Mumbai-Ahmedabad flights will function 26 instances per week, providers on the Bengaluru-Kochi route and Bengaluru-Mumbai route will function 28 instances per week, it mentioned.
Flying with the airline code QP, Akasa Air will start business operations with two plane from August 07, it talked about. The provider mentioned it is going to add two plane every month, and by the top of 2023, it is going to have 18 plane inducted into its fleet.
The airline plans so as to add one other 12 to 14 planes each 12 months, which can make up its order of 72 Boeing 737 Max plane, delivered over 5 years, it talked about. The provider had on July 7 acquired its air operator certificates from the Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation.
