In Punjab, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) chief Sukhbir Badal has been embroiled in controversy. Sukhbir said at Sahnewal rally in Ludhiana that we want peace and brotherhood, not fight. Farmer leader Manjit Rai said that during Sukhbir’s Moga rally with farmers, Student Organization of India (SOI), a student organization of Akali Dal, misbehaved with the farmers. Sukhbir postpones rallies for 5 days after protest
Sukhbir is on a 100-day state tour in view of the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. After confrontation with United Kisan Morcha, Sukhbir has now postponed all programs for 5 days. Sukhbir said that in these 5 days, farmer leaders can call and question them wherever they want. His full leadership is ready to come. After that he will start the program again.
