Actor Kartikeya Gummakonda has claimed that Valimai starring South superstar Ajith will be India’s biggest action film. Kartikeya, who plays the antagonist in the film, while talking to the media said that he was offered to act in Valimai while he was shooting for Raja Vikramarka.
The film, helmed by director H Vinoth, will see superstar Ajith playing the lead role. Valimai is all set to hit the silver screens across the country on the occasion of Pongal next year. The filmmakers of the film have so far released only one single and one teaser of the film.
“The strength of the film is directed by Ajith sir and V Vinoth. Valimai is set to be a superhit at the box office as it is an Ajith-Vinoth combo,” said Kartikeya.
Kartikeya said, “After reading the script of the film, I realized that my character – the villain of the film – is very important.”
Talking further about the film, Karthikeyan said that his character is a wanted criminal and Ajith’s character is that of a police officer.
“The strength of the film is that the hero and the villain of the film are both physically and mentally very strong. This film is going to be quite different from the films released so far and action film lovers will love this film.”
“Ajit sir is a huge star in the film industry. In the initial days I was a bit scared while shooting with him but he comforted and encouraged me during the shoot. He treated me like an equal actor during the shoot. Despite having such a huge stature in the industry, he treats everyone on the sets sweetly,” said Kartikeya.
“While shooting for the film, Ajith sir taught me how to hold a gun and switch bullets. Apart from a good number of action sequences in the film, there are emotional sequences as well,” said Karthikeyan.
