An international airport is going to be built in the town of Jewar, UP, about 75 km from Delhi. This airport will be built on about 6200 hectares of land, which will be called the fourth largest airport in the world. A total of Rs 29,650 crore will be spent on its construction. Initially, the first phase will be constructed on 1327 hectares of land. It will have two runways, two terminal buildings, air traffic control tower etc.

The target for the entire construction of this airport to be built in four phases has been kept in the year-2026. However, flights will start from here by 2023. Initially, there are plans to start eight domestic and one international flight from here. The initial capacity of this airport will be 90 million passengers annually.

PM Narendra Modi is coming to Jewar to lay its foundation on 25th November. During this, UP CM Yogi Adityanath will also be present. In the first phase, this airport will be constructed on 1327 hectares. The boundary wall work of this entire land is almost in the final stage. Now the preparations for setting up a pandal at the venue are going on on a war footing. Dainik Bhaskar went to ground zero and tested the preparations.

Waterproof pandal 250 meters wide and 250 meters long
The foundation stone of the program has been placed on the roadside 200 meters away from Ranhaira police post on Bulandshahr-Jewar road. Here a 250 meter wide and 250 meter long waterproof pandal is being set up in a big ground. Delhi’s Vij Concert Company has got the responsibility of setting up the pandal. More than 200 employees are working at the venue, who are engaged in setting up the pandal day and night. Chairs will be set up in these pandals to accommodate about 40,000 people.

The main stage will remain towards the east.
The main platform is being built 50 meters wide and 30 meters long. This platform is being installed almost adjacent to the road. The direction of this platform will be towards East. From here all the leaders including PM Modi, CM Yogi will address the program. Ex-servicemen have set up their camp 100 meters away from the venue, who are handling the security arrangements here.

Airport foundation near the main stage
An important meeting was held on Monday in Greater Noida regarding the program of November 25. Meerut Divisional Commissioner Surendra Singh said that in this meeting, there was a brainstorming on the preparations for the program. According to the commissioner, four helipads are being built near the venue. In this, three helipads will be reserved for the PM and one helipad for the CM. Two exhibitions will be held at the venue, in which two models related to the airport will be kept. The churning is going on to increase the entry gate.

Efforts are made that no person should have to wait more than a minute to enter. The PM will stay in this program for about one and a half to two hours. A place of worship has been built near the main stage, where they will lay the foundation stone of the airport by placing bricks.

Five parking lots are being constructed at the venue. All these parking places are being constructed at least 100 meters away from the foundation stone laying site. The work of leveling a large ground for a parking lot just behind the Ranhaira police post is going on. There will probably be parking for vehicles belonging to the police. Here, the police department is busy making a blueprint for security. Police Commissioner Alok Singh visited the airport site and discussed the security related preparations.
