Air still ‘severe’, Ghaziabad again most polluted city Noida News – Times of India

Noida/Ghaziabad: Air quality index in ‘severe’ category with 428, Ghaziabad once again became most polluted city in the country on Wednesday
However, the air quality has improved by a few degrees as compared to Tuesday, when the temperature in the city was recorded AQI of 451.
Last year The region was the worst-performing as its pollution monitoring station recorded an AQI of 457 on Wednesday, followed by Sanjay Nagar with an AQI of 433. Indirapuram The AQI is 407 and Vasundhara’s AQI is 405.
Meanwhile, the air quality in Greater Noida And Noida showed a marked improvement on Wednesday as compared to Tuesday. Noida recorded an AQI of 374 in the ‘very poor’ category, down from 426 in the ‘severe’ category on Tuesday. Greater Noida recorded an AQI of 378 on Wednesday, up from 412 on Tuesday.
In Greater Noida, the monitoring station at Knowledge Park 3 recorded an AQI of 356, while Knowledge Park 5 recorded an AQI of 396. Of the four monitoring stations in Noida, Sector 125 recorded an AQI of 373 and Sector 1 recorded an AQI of 365. Meanwhile, Sector 116 recorded the highest AQI of 387. The data of Sector 62 was insufficient for computation of AQI.
According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (journey), the winds are likely to intensify in the next two days.
The direction of these winds will be favorable for transportation of pollutants due to stubble burning in Delhi-NCR. Meanwhile, the number of fires is also increasing.
The air quality is likely to worsen in the next two days. However, the AQI will remain either at the upper end of the ‘very poor’ category or will move to the lower end of the ‘severe category’.
