ahmedabad petrol pump news updates: After rumors of shortage of petrol pumps, people had to run towards their nearest station due to long queues of people.

Hundreds of two-wheelers and four-wheelers were seen at most petrol pumps in the city around midnight following rumors of a possible strike by petrol pump owners on social media. There was also a rumor that Saudi Arabia has stopped supplying crude oil to India.

Despite several attempts by the petrol pump staff that no pump was going to be shut down, people continued to throng the stations after midnight. Within hours the situation worsened and several gas stations had to be closed. On any regular day many of the city’s pumps shut down around 11 pm, but on Saturday night the scene was different. People kept coming to the petrol pump to get petrol. The price of petrol in Ahmedabad on Saturday was Rs 96.98.
