PMK founder S Ramadoss condemned the All India Radio notification which said that the word ‘Akashvani’ should be used in programs instead of All India Radio.

The PMK was in alliance with the BJP for the state assembly polls, but in the recent past, distanced itself from the NDA and also decided to boycott the Erode East bypoll.

PMK’s anti-Hindi position is significant considering the role of regional parties in the Dravidian alliance equations ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
