Ahan Shetty reminded me of Ajay Devgn very quickly: ‘Tadap’ director Milan Luthria

MumbaiSuniel Shetty’s son Ahaan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with filmmaker Milan Luthria’s film Tadap. Recalling his first meeting with Ahaan, Milan shared that the young actor reminded him of Ajay Devgn.

“My journey with Ahaan or his journey with me has been an unexpected and spontaneous journey. I didn’t know that something like this would come to me when Sajid (Nadiadwala) called me to talk about launching Ahaan. Me. I remembered a picture of him. That I had seen him a few months ago and I loved it. There was something so sweet about him – a good-looking man with an air of innocence and honesty around him. So I asked if I I could meet him. We met and he came across as a very open, straight young man and I decided I should test him to see what kind of work we could do together. “

Milan further added, “He (Ahan) reminded me of Ajay Devgn very quickly, smoldering eyes, a bit of underplay of emotions but still conveyed them beautifully and didn’t go over the top. Ahaan is a sensitive actor and effortless. Responds politely. I don’t think there’s any way other than to go along with what he feels. He asks relevant questions. One thing I found so new and refreshing about him was that he was never a monitor Didn’t come to see. A lot of actors especially early in their career want to see how they look or what the shot looks like and whether they want to do another take.”

Written by Rajat Arora, Tadap is slated to release on December 3, 2021. It also stars Tara Sutaria.
