Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said the Modi government in its eight-year rule has done more work than ever to make farmers self-reliant and its agri-friendly schemes have become the real power of farmers. Home Minister remarks as Prime Minister Narendra Modi 21,000 crore released to 80 crore farmers as the eleventh installment of Kisan Samman Nidhi.

“Modi government has done more work than ever before to empower farmers and make them self-reliant in the last eight years. Agriculture friendly schemes of Modi government have become the real power of farmers today. In this installment today @narendramodi transferred Rs 21,000 crore to farmers in #PMKisan,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.

The Prime Minister also interacted with beneficiaries of various central schemes and released Rs 21,000 crore under Kisan Samman Nidhi in Shimla on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of his government.
