The job boss said that anyone who does four years of national service in the armed forces will end up as a disciplined and trained professional with a college degree.
“They will have a sense of service and commitment, can adapt and adjust in their early to mid-twenties and can fit into any one of many careers – whether in state police forces or central security forces or even That in the private sector too,” he wrote.

Elaborating on the results of the scheme, he highlighted that people retiring from the army in their 40s and 50s have limited options in the private sectors. These professionals are typecast into administrative and security roles. According to Bikhchandani, the reason behind this is that he has already spent more than two decades in the armed forces.
In the past we have seen those who leave the forces in their forties and fifties become typecast in security and administration roles in the private sector, limiting their options. But that’s because they’ve been in the armed forces for two decades or more

“These youngsters with four years of experience will be trained and disciplined, but not typecast and pigeonholed into narrow roles in the private sectors,” he said. He said that at such a young age, those who have not been hired by the army will still be moldable and many options are open to them.

They would have been trained but they would still be very small and therefore moldable and would have many options open to them. In that sense (without any disrespect to them or the defense forces) they would have been through four years of rigorous finishing sc.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani also shared examples of other countries that have a similar system, including the United States, where many students, who have served in the military for a few years, are admitted to the best MBA programs.
