Patna: As nationwide protests against the recently launched Agneepath Recruitment Scheme turn violent, especially in Bihar, it has been found that coaching centers in the state may have played a role in causing chaos and arson. Provocation done through WhatsApp

Speaking to ANI, Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh said that WhatsApp messages were found in the phones of the arrested people of a provocative nature.

He said, “We are on full alert. People are being identified through video footage. We have ascertained the role of 7-8 coaching centers through WhatsApp messages of those arrested. These messages are provocative. were of nature.”

FIR against 170 in Bihar

Singh said an FIR was registered against 170 people, of whom 46 were arrested for vandalizing the Danapur railway station. Patna DM said that security forces have been deployed at various places in Patna. Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad, however, said the situation was returning to normal and appealed to the protesters to maintain peace.

Prasad said, “The situation is returning to normalcy. Incidents of vandalism and arson are unfortunate. The Center has made a good plan for the youth, it will bring them many benefits. We appeal to the people of Bihar to maintain peace. ”

Bihar Bandh

Meanwhile, student organizations in Bihar, led by the All India Students’ Union, have called for a 24-hour Bihar bandh demanding immediate withdrawal of the new army recruitment scheme launched by the government this week.

The RJD has extended its support to the bandh call and former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manji, whose Hindustan Awam Morcha-Secular (HAM-S) is an ally of the BJP, said his party did not support the violence, but that Bihar Will support shutdown. Call in the interest of youth.

The protesters had earlier allegedly attacked the houses of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi and Bihar BJP President and West Champaran MP Sanjay Jaiswal.

Apart from Bihar, railway traffic was also blocked and train coaches were torched in several states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Telangana. Train services were affected by the cancellation of over 200 trains by the Railways so far.
