Age of Empires 4: Age of Empires 4: Game of Thrones Actor tries to defeat Age of Empires 4 Trebuchet | – times of India

Microsoft’s much-awaited age of empires 4 Launches today at 8.30 PM IST and can be purchased for PC on Steam, Windows Store and Xbox Game Pass. As a part of the promotion of the game, age of Empires Team Invited game of thrones actors Icelandic professional strongman Hafor Julius Björnsson, who plays The Mountain (Ser Gregor Clegane) on the show, competes against a real 18-feet-long trebuchet, a launching arm weighing 500 kilograms and a range of 200 feet. Ser Gregor himself is 6 feet 9 inches tall.
The trebuchet is one of the medieval siege weapons that first entered the game franchise.
The location for the event was Berkeley Castle, UK, and was hosted by Charlie Hodgson from the Xbox On team. First, there was a voting round ahead of the main event in which fans on Twitter were asked if they’d like to see the item launched from Trebuchet. During the live event, Björnsson was asked to compete with Trebuchet to see whose throw covered the most distance. Among the items selected and then thrown in this ‘contest’ were a basketball, a CRT monitor, a stuffed sheep, an exercise ball and a full-size armored human dummy. Here’s how it went.

The Age of Empires IV trebuchet created for the video is courtesy of the efforts of Todd’s Workshop, a maker of historical reproduction weapons and artifacts.
You can make your own trebuchets in the game but make sure they are secure. In-game enemy trebuchets can also be converted in your favor by a priest. Talk about the power of faith!
