Kartik Aaryan is enjoying phenomenal success at the box office with the release of his horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As his popularity continues to grow, there are rumors about him increasing his fees and demanding Rs 35-40 crore after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, has collected Rs 128.24 crore since its release on May 20. Media reports have claimed that Kartik Aaryan has increased his acting fee after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which is the sequel to this film. Akshay Kumar and the Vidya Balan-starrer 2007 psychological film of the same name.

A media report on Monday said the 31-year-old actor, who normally charges Rs 15-20 crore per film, has now increased his fees to Rs 35-40 crore. Rubbishing the reports, Kartik tweeted: “Promotion hua hai life mein, increment nahi baseless (This is promotion in my life, not increment. Baseless).”

Anees Bazmee’s recent release ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ has entered the Rs 100 crore club with a total collection of Rs 109.92 crore on completion of two weeks of release. The film, which also stars Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav apart from Kartik Aaryan, had a bumper opening on the first day of its release and collected Rs 14.11 crore. It was the biggest release of any Hindi film this year, beating out projects like ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ among others.

Kartik, who is currently touted as a superstar by many critics and is all set to impress fans with more interesting projects in his lineup to deliver blockbusters of the year to the audiences. He will next be seen in “Shehzada” in the Telugu remake of Allu Arjun’s “Ala Vaikunthapuramulu”, Hansal Mehta’s “Captain India”, Shashanka Ghosh’s romantic thriller “Freddie” and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala’s next.
