Days after winning a legal battle against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Hollywood star Johnny Depp is set to tour abroad with his rock band Hollywood Vampires next year. In addition to Depp, the tour will feature band members Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen, reports Variety. Earlier, according to an official statement written by the band members, they were forced to cancel their tour in March this year due to the COVID-19 ‘travel restrictions’.

“We continue to try to do this, but unfortunately this is not possible due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 travel restrictions,” the statement said. However, with restrictions easing, the group plans to reconnect with their fans in Luxembourg and Germany to perform in six scheduled shows. The first gig will be held on June 20, 2023 at the Rudolf Weber Arena in Oberhausen, Germany, while the rock band will perform their final gig on June 30 at the Zitadel in Mainz, Germany, of the same year. Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation lawsuit

In lieu of the public defamation trial, the jury reached a verdict on June 1, deciding that Depp proved that Heard defamed her in a 2018 op-ed. Depp has said that he never attacked Heard and claims he physically harmed her. The jury awarded Depp $15 million in damages, but Heard would only pay $8.4 million because Virginia law limits punitive damages. According to People magazine, in his countersuit, Heard won one in three defamation counts and was awarded $2 million in damages.
