After Munmun Dutta, Raj Anadkat pays heartfelt tribute to Ghanshyam Nayak aka TMKOC’s Nattu Kaka

As soon as the news of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Ghanshyam Nayak’s demise surfaced online, many fans along with his co-actors expressed their grief on social media. Raj Anadkat, who played the role of Tappu in the popular sitcom, paid an emotional tribute to the late actor on his Instagram account.

Sharing an old picture with his ‘kaka’, Raj wrote, “Me and kaka were sharing a make-up and he came on the sets after a long time. He entered the room and said ‘Aav beta kem che’ I took his blessings and he was very happy to be back on the sets after so many days.He asked me about my family and said ‘Saras, Bhagwan Badhanu Bhalu kare.’ His dedication and hard work at such a young age was commendable. He will never forget the tales that he used to share. Uncle you will always be remembered.” (sic)

Actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who played the role of Nattu Kaka in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, passed away on Sunday at the age of 77.

Actress Munmun Dutta also shared a series of pictures with the late TMKOC co-actor on her official Instagram handle. “So many memories, so many great things to write about you. I am blessed to have known Kaka for the past 13 years. You will always be remembered by me and the many others whose lives you touched as an artist ,” she wrote in her post.

Nayak appeared in around 100 Hindi and Gujarati films, in addition to acting in over 300 TV serials. The veteran actor was also known for his work in Gujarati theatre.

Earlier this year, during his chemotherapy, Nayak shot for a special episode of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”. He is survived by his wife and three children.
