After losing wife to Covid, Pune man commits suicide. Pune News – Times of India

PUNE: 65 year old resident of Sant Tukaramnagar Pimpri On Monday morning, he ended his life by hanging from the ceiling of his house.
One KokateSub-inspector of Pimpri police told TOI, “The relative of the elderly told us that the man was in distress since the death of his wife due to Covid-19 about two months ago.”
Kokate said he was supposed to belong to the man Punjab. About two months ago he and his wife had gone to their native place, where they both tested positive for Covid-19.
Kokate said, “The man was cured but his wife succumbed to the virus. He was troubled ever since.”
Kokate said the couple had no children. Kokate said, “The man had recently returned to Pimpri. On Monday morning, he was found hanging from the fan with a rope. His relatives saw him and took him to the hospital. The doctors declared him brought dead.”
A case of accidental death has been registered with Pimpri police.
