According to the latest report, Bollywood actor Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor and Sohail Khan’s wife Seema Khan have tested positive for coronavirus. Earlier in the day, his close friends and actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora had tested positive for the virus. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Maheep is COVID-19 positive with mild symptoms of chills and fever and is currently in isolation. She has informed all the loved ones with whom she was in contact to get tested for COVID-19.
However, there is no update from Maheep or Seema.
Meanwhile, Bebo confirmed in her Instagram story section that she has contracted the virus. She wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me, please get tested. My family and staff have also been double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thank God. I am feeling fine and hope to get well soon.”
Amrita also shared an update on social media.
Top BMC sources told CNN-News18 that Kareena has no symptoms as of now and has been advised to self isolate in her flat. “Kareena has been advised to remain isolated in her flat. There is no question of sending Kareena’s sample for genome sequencing as of now. He has no travel history. At present they do not have any symptoms, they have been advised home isolation. If she develops any symptoms, she will be advised to be hospitalized in a private hospital,” BMC sources told CNN-News18.
Kareena’s flat is being sealed. He is being treated as an index case. Already 15-20 close contacts have been identified and tested. Their exam results are likely to come by tomorrow. If Kareena claims that she got infected due to someone else, then the test of that person will reveal more information. If that person has a travel history, that person’s sample may first be sent for genome sequencing. All protocols that apply to everyone are being implemented here as well.”
