After five years, India ready to return to Zimbabwe for three ODIs

The dates are yet to be announced officially, but ‘Cricbuzz’ has reported that the three games, which will be part of the ICC One Day Super League, have been scheduled for August 18, 20 and 22 respectively.

Matches are important from Zimbabwe’s point of view as series points will count towards qualifying for next year’s ODI World cup.

“We are absolutely delighted to host India And we look forward to a competitive and memorable series,” a Zimbabwean Cricket (ZC) official quoted the cricket portal as saying.

The African nation’s visit is India’s first in six years. The last time India was when the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side played three ODIs and as many T20Is in June-July 2016.
