Afghanistan’s ruling Taliban regime on Wednesday sent out a strong Eid message against the “propaganda war being perpetrated by enemies”.

Top Taliban leader Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada asked people to understand the enemy’s tactics.

The enemy has changed, he said in his speech from Kandahar.

Earlier they used to attack with planes and drones and now by propaganda warfare, he said.

Akhundzada urged the people to combat this propaganda with the same resilience they showed against physical strikes in the past.

He also said that when the Taliban enforce Sharia punishments, the enemies call it an “international crime”.

But it is the Taliban’s religious duty to implement such measures, he said.

“As a supreme leader, I will not refrain from adhering to Islamic principles under any circumstance,” Akhundzada said.

He said the enemies wanted to create differences between the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) but it didn’t happen.

Akhundzada said that the IEA wants good relations with others based on mutual respect and understanding.

He also said no one should have any doubts regarding the good intentions and sincerity of the Islamic Emirate.

“Our commitment and dedication are firm, and we expect and demand respect for Afghanistan’s sovereignty, integrity, and dignity, ensuring that any disagreements are addressed through dialogue and with mutual respect,” said Akhundzada.
