Aero India 2023: Flight Services at Bengaluru International Airport Partially Suspended from Today for 10 Days

Flight operations at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (KIAL) will be affected in the backdrop of the Aero India Show 2023 to be held from February 13 to February 17. The authorities have announced that flight services will be partially suspended for 10 days. The Wednesday before the 14th edition of the show. The show will take place at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru and preparations are in full swing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Bengaluru to inaugurate the grand international show of Metal Birds.

“Partial airspace closure during Aero India 2023, affecting commercial flight schedules between February 08 -17, 2023,” KIAL’s official announcement said. Passengers have been asked to visit the official portal to know more about the flight schedule.

KIAL has announced airspace closure timings and asked passengers to connect with their respective airlines for inquiries on revised, changed flight schedules. “We request all passengers traveling through Bengaluru airport during this period to plan their journey accordingly,” the statement said.

Bengaluru airport flight operations will remain closed for rehearsal from 2 pm to 5 pm on February 8. For the same reason on February 12, it will be closed from 9 am to 12 noon. Flights will remain closed between 9 am and 12 noon on February 13 for the opening ceremony and air display.

Bengaluru airport will be closed for air display between 12 noon and 2.30 pm on February 14 and 15. Flight operations will remain suspended on February 16 and 17 from 9 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 5 pm for air displays.
