The picture was originally posted by Udit himself as he expressed his gratitude for all the opportunities, love and support. The singer made his debut as a playback singer with the film Unees Bees, which was directed by Swaroop Kumar and starred Mithun Chakraborty, Rakesh Roshan, Yogita Bali and Rita Bhaduri. The singer considers himself lucky to have sung his first song with his idol Mohammed Rafi. However, he got his big break in 1988 when he recorded songs for the film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Udit gave many hits including Papa Kehte Hai Pehla Nasha, Ae Mere Humsafar, Tumse Mila, Ruk Jaa O Dil Deewane, Chand Chupa Badal Mein and Gajab Ka Hai Din.
