‘Adani, Adani’ vs ‘Modi, Modi’ Chants Echo During PM Modi’s Speech

The Prime Minister said that the Enforcement Directorate has brought all the opposition parties together on one platform, has done what the voters could not do.

Slogans of “Adani, Adani” and “Modi, Modi” were heard during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday as opposition members and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) faced off.

The Prime Minister was replying to the debate on ‘Motion of Thanks’ on President Draupadi Murmu’s address. The opposition has been particularly targeting the government over the Adani Group row and has been demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) into it.

As the Prime Minister attacked the Congress, opposition members raised slogans of “Adani, Adani” and some of them even staged a walkout during the PM’s speech later. In response, BJP MPs raised slogans of “Modi, Modi”.

Congress MP indirectly targeted Rahul Gandhi PM Modi, who arrived in the middle of the Prime Minister’s speech, said that some people could not get up on time.

“I was watching yesterday. After some people’s speeches some people were happily saying, yeh hui na baat. Ko behla rahe hai, woh ab chal chhuke hain, woh ab aa rahe hai”, he said.

Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday claimed businessman Gautam Adani’s fortunes skyrocketed after the BJP came to power in 2014 and launched a barrage of allegations against Modi. Some of his comments were later removed from the post of the Chairman.

From calling the UPA regime a “decade of scams” to accusing it of abusing federal agencies, the Army, the RBI and the Supreme Court, the Prime Minister today hit out at the Congress on a host of issues.

PM Modi said that inflation remained in double digits and scams like 2G, Commonwealth Games and many terrorist attacks took place across the country in the ten years of UPA rule.

The Prime Minister said that the Enforcement Directorate has brought all the opposition parties together on one platform, it has done what the voters could not do.

A day after Rahul Gandhi suggested that a study should be conducted on billionaire Gautam Adani’s tremendous rise in business fortunes under the Modi government, PM Modi today launched a study on the ‘rise and fall of India’s Congress Party’ at Harvard University. Cited and said many more universities will study the downfall of the party and those responsible for it.

“Some people here are crazy about Harvard studies. During Kovid it was said that there will be a case study on devastation in India. An important study has been done at Harvard in the last few years and the subject of the study is ‘The Rise and Fall of the Indian Congress Party’.”
