South actress Rachitha Mahalakshmi made her debut with the popular TV serial Pirivom Santhippom on Vijay TV. Dinesh Gopalasamy, her co-star in the show, played a significant role in the show. Their on-screen romance gained admiration from fans, leading to a real-life connection between Rachitha and Dinesh. They tied the knot with their parents’ approval. Rachitha made a comeback in the television scene with the successful serial Saravanan Meenatchi, portraying the character of Meenakshi in two consecutive seasons. The duo collaborated again in the Zee Tamil series Nachiyarpuram, but the show was halted abruptly due to the pandemic. Subsequently, Rachitha immersed herself in projects with Vijay TV.
In February 2022, a sombre announcement surfaced about Rachitha and Dinesh, revealing their quiet separation amid emotional challenges, leading them to live separately. Dinesh, was a contestant in the recently-concluded 7th season of Bigg Boss Tamil. He has openly discussed the separation in various forums. He even expressed intentions to address the issues with Rachitha, aiming to reconcile and mend their relationship.
Following the separation, Dinesh mentioned that a metaphorical wall had risen between him and Rachitha, becoming increasingly formidable. He expressed the difficulty of breaking through this barrier. Dinesh even shared that Rachiha is reportedly planning to enter into a second marriage with a renowned Kannada director. There has been no official confirmation regarding this information.
During that period, rumours circulated, suggesting that Dinesh might have played a role in the breakdown of his marriage. Subsequently, Dinesh entered Bigg Boss Season 7 as a wild card contestant a few weeks ago. He expressed the intention to meet Rachitha if he won the title, but unfortunately, Rachita was not interested to meet him.
