Actor and producer Vishal Krishna speaks about his upcoming film Laathi and much more.

Hard work never goes in vain: Vishal

1. What do you like the most about your upcoming film Latthi?

The fact that I haven’t played this character before makes it very special. I have played the role of higher officials but not that of a police constable. Generally it is the life of high officials which is portrayed in the movies but here the whole movie is based on the life of a police constable which is very interesting. Basically, it is the existence of existence. Belonging to the middle class section of the society, being the husband and father of a six year old son, full body language where you have to salute the higher officials and take orders instead of giving orders, all these factors are very much for me. are fresh. This is completely different from what I’ve done before. For the first time in my career, I am working with one of India’s best action choreographer Peter Hein. He is taking stunts to the next level which is another experience of a lifetime for me.

2. What do you look up to as an actor, director or producer?

We all look forward to success eventually but we should not forget the path of success. I am not a director yet, but I will be one soon with my upcoming project Thupparivalan 2, which is slated to release in 2023. Hence all the three roles as a director, producer and an actor are the most important responsibilities in a film industry. They are an integral part of the cinema industry. Actors are often referred to as God’s children because we have been given the opportunity to entertain millions. We have constraints and it is not going to be a bed of roses all the time, but after hard work and effort, it eventually gives good results. I believe in the saying “Hard work never goes in vain.” That’s how I take it very seriously and I take everything in a healthy way.

3. How do you start your day?

I start my day by waking up at 5.45 am. It all depends on what time my shoot starts, be it day or night shoot. I do my breathing exercises which I learned in Kerala. I cycle to my place or go back after my shoot. This is a habit I have adopted over the years. I don’t eat after 8 pm. I set aside half an hour for all matters related to South Indian Artistes Association, as we have recently won the election. I know it is difficult to maintain the schedule consistently but this will give amazing results for a lifetime. My phone gets switched off by 9.45 pm. I hit the bed

4. Tell us about your next film, Mark Antony.

Mark Antony is a Sci-Fi Thriller. This is once again a big budget film. I am acting with another popular actor SJ Surya. Shooting is scheduled to begin in May. As an actor, we aspire to play a particular character and it gets fixed in the mind. This film is giving me an opportunity to showcase my talent in a different way. It is a script that I have been looking for for many years and to be a part of it is like giving candy to a child. This is the biggest film in my entire career not only in terms of budget but also with the script. Not many movies are made on sci-fi thrillers. I am really looking forward to working with director Adhik Ravichandran and my dear friend music director GV Prakash once again after eight years.

5. Do we see actor Vishal as a political leader someday?

We are all political leaders. Anyone who has donated even Rs 100 is a politician. Politics means social service. Serving the people is the real duty of a politician. I don’t see any difference between you, me or any politician sitting in Parliament because we all have served the people in some way or the other. I being a complete politician maybe in future but I am not really sure when and how I am not planning anything ahead. I go with the flow. That’s how I look at life.
