A few days ago, Sarathkumar met the police officer who inspired the Chennai One Day.

Actor R Sarathkumar recently met the police officer who saved a man’s life a decade ago by covering a distance of 75 km in 11 minutes. His story was shared across India and appreciated by all. Sarathkumar, inspired by this incident, made a film titled Chennai One Day.

While Sarathkumar was walking his dog, he met the police officer, who told how he helped save a man’s life. He shared the video and wrote a longer caption. Sarathkumar wrote, “29.03.2013 – I am pleased to meet Mr. Mohan, the protagonist of the true incident that led to the film’s release in Chennai yesterday when I took my Thor for a ride.”

“20.09.2008 – When 15 year old Hitendran of Thirukkalukkundram met with an accident and unfortunately brain dead, Mr. Mohan assisted in his heart transplant by covering a distance of 75 minutes in 11 minutes from Thenampet Apollo to JJ Nagar. The help of the then Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Sunil Kumar.

“Hithendran and the girl Abhiram, who strongly and emotionally highlighted the need for organ donation, will always be remembered. At that time all those who save their lives with humanity and courage are true heroes. As such, I am happy to meet Mr. Mohan, who is currently serving as an Assistant Inspector at Nilangarai Police Station,” concluded the actor.
