The shooting of the sequel to the 2006 blockbuster Pudhupettai will begin soon, director Selvaragavan has finally announced. Pedhupattai was a major turning point in the life of Dhanush, the lead actor in the cult classic. The fans of Dhanush are also eagerly waiting for the sequel of the film.
Selvaraghavan received good reviews for his recently released film, Saani Kayadham. The film was released on 6 May amazon prime Video. Arun Matheswaran’s direction was well received by the audience and actress Keerthy Suresh was also praised for her role as a police constable who fights against caste-based crime. The filmmaker also starred in Beast, featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role.
Writer-director-actor Selvaraghavan has worked in some of the most popular Kollywood films, including Pudhupettai, Mayakkam Enna, 7G Rainbow Colony and Ayrathil Oruvan.
Selvaraghavan made his debut in the world of entertainment with the 2002 film Thuluvadho Ilamai, starring Dhanush in the lead role. The director is known for making romantic dramas and has also shot for fantasy and science fiction films like Aarthi Oruvan and Irandam Ulagam. Prior to this, he has received the Edison Prize in 2010.
Selvaraghavan excels in giving a different dimension to the concept of love, romance, relationships and beyond. After the success of Thuluvadho Ilamai, the director made a series of romantic films.
In 2003, he once again directed Kadhal Konden starring Dhanush. The film revolves around a young man who becomes a psychopath and tries his best to woo his new love. His efforts create a nail-biting cliff-hanger.
