Thalapathy Vijay, earlier this month, floated his political party Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam. The actor said that the party would contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections. Soon after the announcement, many actors and celebrities extended their wishes to Vijay. Now, another actor has extended his support to Vijay. Recently, Samuthirakani spoke highly about Vijay saying that he will be supporting the Leo actor in his political debut.
Samuthirakani, during a recent media interaction at an event, was asked to share his views on Thalapathy Vijay’s newly formed political party. He responded, “Vijay is a good man. Now that he is entering politics, he always has my full support. I am ready to walk along with him. Although he didn’t call me for the campaign, I will be rooting for his win.”
Meanwhile, Vijay, while announcing the name of his political party, also shared that he would be quitting films after completing two movies he is working on. He said, “As far as I am concerned, politics is not just another profession; it is a sacred service to the people… I wish to fully immerse myself in politics for public service after completing my commitments to another film I have already committed to, without causing any disruption to party activities. This is what I consider my gratitude and duty to the people of Tamil Nadu.”
