While our investigation is ongoing, there is currently no indication that any consumer data was stored on that server ,” Acer was quoted as saying in reports By Bleeping Computer.
Acer didn’t provide any related details for its customers, but data breaches generally have an impact on people who use its products.
Technicians usually keep a track record of all repairs done, and even keep some data around the consumer. So it is possible that hackers may try phishing for victims through their email IDs, or spoofed mobile numbers. Therefore, we suggest that all Acer users should be aware of such possibilities and should not open links from unknown mail ids and messages.
