Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Sarabjit Kaur Manuke from Ludhiana’s Jagraon assembly seat has been accused by an NRI woman of occupying a Kothi. Canadian woman Amarjeet Kaur has sent a complaint against MLA Manuke to SSP, Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal and Assembly Speaker Kultar Sandhwa.
Amarjit said- She has not come to Punjab for many years. Taking advantage of this, MLA Manuke is illegally occupying his house in Gali No. 7, Hira Bagh. The things kept in his house have also been destroyed.

Allegations of threatening the woman’s MLA
When he came to know about the matter, he talked to MLA Manuke and threatened him saying that you cannot harm me, I am not afraid of anyone. The government is ours and the police is ours. Amarjeet told that he is an old man and he is being prevented from entering his house. Threats are being given that if he does not leave the house, a false case will be registered.
Amarjeet alleged that MLA Manuke took possession of the house without asking him for the consent of the goods department.
Manuke said – rented a house
In this case, MLA Sarvjeet Kaur Manuke said that she has taken this Kothi on rent. Now NRI Amarjit Kaur has expressed ownership over it. Then it came to light that the 2 persons who were claiming ownership of this Kothi, have also given a complaint to SSP Jagraon and demanded an inquiry. She just wants to tell the media that out of these two owners, if the NRI woman is the owner, she will hand over the keys when asked.
Badal said – FIR should be lodged against the MLA immediately
SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal said that a case should be immediately registered against MLA Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, who occupied NRI’s Kothi. The Punjab Police is suppressing the matter. If the police does not act in time, then a wrong message will be sent to the NRI community that their properties in Punjab are not safe.
Woman Amarjit Kaur should tell Punjab DGP and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann the reason for delay in case action. He said that the AAP government is not concerned about the welfare of NRIs.
SP said – complaint came, will investigate
SSP Navneet Bains has sent a complaint yesterday accusing the woman of occupying the house. SP-D is probing the matter.
