After Aamir Khan’s last release Laal Singh Chaddha, the actor announced that he will be taking a break from acting ‘for the first time in his career’, and will turn to producing films. He made this announcement in November last year. Reportedly, the actor will be supporting RS Prasanna’s Champions, which is a remake of the Spanish film which also goes by the same name. 6 months after its announcement, buzz is that the actor will start working on his next film with a South Indian director.
According to a report in Peepingmoon, Aamir Khan is keen to make the sequel of his hit film Ghajini with director Allu Aravind. Reportedly, Aamir has been traveling frequently to Hyderabad to discuss his next project for a long time now. The actor was in fact spotted in Hyderabad for the second time in three months, which speculates that there is more to come down south. While Aamir and his team are tight-lipped about the same, sources have revealed that there could be a possible collaboration. “Aamir Khan is discussing a project with producer Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts, and they met again last week for the same. They have discussed several project ideas and look forward to working together. But at this point, it’s just a conversation, with no concrete development yet.”
The source further revealed that they have discussed several projects and Ghajini 2 is believed to be one of them. Apparently, both are keen to take Sanjay Singhania’s story forward and will finalize a script in the coming months. “Aamir and Allu Aravind have met on several occasions during the last 4-5 months. However, everything is kept so secret that no one has any idea of what’s really cooking. Ghajini 2 is definitely one of the projects under consideration but it is not sure what the other projects are. When things settle down, we might get to know about some developments, but for now, it’s all kept under wraps.”
The source also added that Aamir has been offered dozens of projects from the film industry. He is reportedly in talks with Sneha Rajni for a strong content drama. She has also been offered Prashanth Neel’s pan-India film with Jr NTR, but all these projects are currently in the ‘talk’ stage.
Meanwhile, reports are coming in that Aamir Khan has also offered a new film to Salman Khan, and he is all set to produce it under his banner Aamir Khan Productions. Over the past 6 months, Aamir Khan has been extensively working on the script with his director RS Prasanna. Reportedly, Salman has also shown interest in being a part of the project.
