Aadhaar-PAN Linking: Know How to Link PAN Card and Aadhar if Date of Birth is Different in Both

The last date to link Aadhaar number with PAN is 30 September 2021. Earlier the last date for linking PAN-Aadhaar was 30 June 2021. Now you can link Aadhaar number with PAN i.e. personal account number before 30 September 2021. Still, a large number of PAN cards are not linked with Aadhaar and many people face problems while linking them. UIDAI has given most of the frequently asked questions in this regard in its FAQ and given information related to it.

Accordingly, if the date of birth is given, it is considered verified. If you give date of birth without any document, then this date of birth is considered declared. Also, if the date of birth is different in PAN and Aadhaar and they are not able to link, then it also gives information about this. In such a situation, you will have to change the date of birth in either your Aadhaar or PAN card, only after that the Aadhaar-PAN link will be done. Because to connect them, both have the same name, gender and date of birth.

What if the names are different?
In such a situation, to link these two, you have to ensure that the name, gender and date of birth are same in PAN and Aadhaar. If the names in Aadhaar and PAN are completely different, then the name in the Aadhaar or PAN database will have to be changed. Correction in Aadhar card can be done by visiting the Permanent Enrollment Centre. You can change your name, age, address, mobile number etc. Documents like ID or address proof are required as proof to update these.
