Aadhaar-PAN Card Linking Deadline Ends Next Month: Check How to Link Aadhaar with Pan by Paying Penalty of Rs 1000

New Delhi: In the last few months, the deadline for linking PAN card with Aadhaar card has been extended several times by the Income Tax Department. The last date for linking important documents is now March 31, 2023.

The Income Tax Department had noted that PAN cardholders who fail to link the document with Aadhaar card by March 31, 2023, will be left with an inoperative PAN. A fine of Rs 500 was to be paid for giving such information between April 1, 2022 and June 30, 2022. After that, the IT department said that a fine of Rs 1,000 would have to be paid for linking Aadhaar and PAN.

So, if you still haven’t linked your Aadhaar card with your PAN card, you can still do so before your PAN becomes inoperative by paying a fine of Rs 1,000. If you do not have an account, create a User ID with your PAN and set up a password.
