A period saga, ‘Adipurush’ starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan is all set for release

new Delhi: The Adipurush crew took to social media on the auspicious festival of Mahashivratri to announce the new release date of the film.

The multilingual historical saga, which has been hailed as a film celebrating the ‘victory of virtue over evil’, is an adaptation of the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana’. Prabhas portrays Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh and Kriti Sanon as Sita in the film.

The film was originally scheduled to release on August 11, 2022, however, that date has now been pushed forward.

For the first time ever, the makers of Aadipurush have claimed the much-awaited holiday release date. This is supported by the fact that as per the source no major film has been officially confirmed for release in Hindi, Tamil or Telugu.

In an Instagram post published on Tuesday morning, Telugu actor, Prabhas informed his fans and followers that the release date of his next film, ‘Adipurush’ has been set as January 12, 2023.

Ever since the launch of Baahubali, Prabhas has garnered a massive fan following across the country. As soon as the release date of Prabhas’ magnum opus was revealed, the excitement among the fans was palpable.

T-Series Films and Retrophiles are producing the film, which is being handled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair under the banner of T-Series Films. Devdutt Nage is playing the role of Hanuman, Sunny Singh is playing the role of Laxman along with other actors.
