A celebration of traditional Indian heritage – Times of India

Mumbai-based designer Khushboo Shah presented her Pret collection at the Bombay Times Fashion Week. Naveli Deshmukh walked the ramp for the designer in a beautiful handloom dress.

“The inspiration behind this collection is derived from my trip to Bhuj, Kutch, where I came across an old loose bookshelf in an artisan’s workshop, covered with muslin, with organic paint splattered on it. Sounds bad, but all I could do was manage to keep the legacy intact, keep the legacy intact as well as keep the secrets of the organic lifestyle intact,” says Khushboo Shah.

“The books had old brittle pages with green and red pinstripes that became my ladder of childhood nostalgia, where humans had an organic and sustainable way of living,” she adds.

This collection was about the amalgamation of the old and the new and the introduction of the past to the present for a better future.

Eha was founded by Khushboo Shah in 2003 in Mumbai. The label has been reshaping fashion since launching its first organic cotton collection in the early 2020s. Known for creating trendy apparel that exudes natural confidence, the Mumbai-based designer is a pioneer in alternative materials and eco-friendly practices.
