bollywood star Salman Khan had reached Shah Rukh KhanShah Rukh’s son Aryan Khan at his bungalow Mannat in Mumbai’s Bandstand on Sunday night after he was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He was seen sitting in the front seat of his Range Rover. After a rave party busted on a luxury cruise liner, Aryan is arrested on charges of drug abuse, sale and purchase.
Initially, Aryan and two others – Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant – were arrested, and the three were produced before the Esplanade Magistrates’ Court amid tight security, late Sunday night and remanded to NCB custody for a day Gaya. The lawyer told the media persons.
Charged under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, he will be produced before the court again on Monday for judicial custody, even as his legal team including Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde, NCB in Bombay plans to challenge the action of High Court on Monday.
Others who remained in NCB custody – Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Singh Chaddha, Mohak Jaiswal, Vikrant Chhokar and Gomit Chopra were later arrested. They will be produced in the magistrate’s court after getting their medical examination done for remand.
Earlier, NCB superintendent VV Singh, in his arrest memo, had said that Aryan Khan was being arrested under the NDPS Act along with other known and unidentified persons for “involving in the consumption, sale and purchase of narcotics”.
The arrest was made in connection with the seizure of 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of MD, 21 grams of charas and 22 tablets of MDMA, aggregating to Rs 1,33,000 from him.
Aryan Khan, 23, admitted and said that he understands the reasons for his arrest and has informed his family.
Star son and others were detained by the NCB since morning. The action came after NCB swooped in on the Cordelia cruise deluxe ship on Saturday evening, as it was preparing for a scheduled Mumbai-Goa trip, which shocked people, especially those in the entertainment industry.
