Promotion of passenger air connectivity to Lilabari will facilitate communication with the northeastern part of Assam and even parts of neighboring Arunachal Pradesh.
AAI sources said completion of construction of Hollongi airport in Arunachal and new integrated terminal buildings at Agartala and Guwahati are major works in the region.
