7th Pay Commission: DA Hike To Be Announced Soon – Check Latest Update

New Delhi: The 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) may soon increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) and fitment factor for 50 lakh central government employees, although nothing has been announced officially as of now. As per the most recent rumours, the government is considering making a statement regarding the DA hike by the end of next week, while the documentation process is still on.

In March 2023, the government will also change the fit factor for non-exercisers.

Central government may announce 4 percent DA hike

– Government employees can get DA arrears of 18 months

– Pensioners or retired employees can get 4 percent increase in dearness relief.

How much will the salary increase after DA increase?

As per the 6th Central Pay Commission, an employee who draws Rs 15,500 in 4200 grade pay will have to multiply that amount by 2.57 to get a total compensation of Rs 39,835.
Also, the employees are pushing for an increase in the fitting factor to 3.68.

After the government accepts their request, their minimum wage will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 per month. The normal fitment factor currently stands at 2.57%. Specifically, the fitment factor is a variable that is multiplied by the basic pay to determine the total pay of government employees.
