77 ministers now in Modi 2.0: Promotion of 7 ministers in the cabinet, sports to Anurag Thakur, education to Dharmendra Pradhan and petroleum to Hardeep Puri; 36 new faces got a place

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening made the biggest expansion of his cabinet so far. Within two hours of taking oath of the new ministers, he also handed over their ministries to everyone. During this, 7 Ministers of State were also given promotions for their better performance.

Promoted from the post of Minister of State, Anurag Thakur was given the responsibility of Sports Ministry, Dharmendra Pradhan for Education and Hardeep Puri as Petroleum Ministry. Apart from these, Mansukh Mandaviya, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Purshottam Rupala and G Kishan Reddy were also promoted. Now the number of ministers in the Modi cabinet has increased to 77. 36 new faces have been given a place in the cabinet.
