72 Hoorain Screened At JNU, Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit Says ‘Intention Is To Expose Terrorism’

New Delhi: A special screening of the film ’72 Hurain’ was organized by Vivekananda Vichar Manch at Jawaharlal Nehru University on Tuesday. Filmmaker Ashok Pandit shared his experience in a special conversation with ANI. “The experience was great because we believed in the subject and the subject was close to us,” he said. “Our intention is to expose terrorism – all those forces which are supporting terrorism, which are sowing seeds of terrorism among mankind and innocent people are being targeted,” he said.

He concluded, “It has nothing to do with Islam and the Quran. We are talking about terrorist organizations.”

When asked about his criticism, Pandit said, “We want people to criticize it, but they should criticize it logically and not just say it is a propaganda film.”

National Award winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan was also present there and spoke exclusively to ANI. “We are organizing a special screening in JNU as we want to know the students’ perspective and learn from it,” he added.

On the criticism, Sanjay said, “People are giving their opinion without seeing it which is sad. We want people to watch the film first.”

On the censor board certification, he said, “They (censor board) have asked us to remove some scenes and words from the trailer, but it is not possible right now. So, we decided to release the film on social media.”

The Central Board of Film Certification rejected the censor certificate for the trailer of National Award-winning director Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s film ’72 Hurayn’.

The trailer gives a dramatic insight into what happens in the dark world of terrorism and the intriguing story of intense brainwashing of terrorists.

Directed by two-time National Award winner Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan, the film will release on July 7. The film is produced by Gulab Singh Tanwar, Kiran Dagar and Anirudh Tanwar and co-produced by Ashok Pandit.
