7 Die Of Heatstroke At Maharashtra Bhushan Event; CM Eknath Shinde, HM Amit Amit Shah Were Present

New Delhi: At least seven people died of heat stroke during the Maharashtra Bhushan celebrations at Kharghar in Navi Mumbai. Many others fell ill due to the scorching sun and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Talking to reporters, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde confirmed the death of seven people due to heatstroke and said that an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh would be given to the next of kin of the deceased. CM Shinde further said that the government is ensuring proper treatment of those who fell ill during the event and are hospitalised.
